Man Scammed Out Of Over $400K By Rhea Ripley Impersonator
A man was scammed out of over $400,000 by someone pretending to be Rhea Ripley.
WPXI in Pennsylvania reports that the crime happened in March, with a 64-year-old man being scammed out of $427,000 by a person or multiple people impersonating Rhea Ripley.
A public information officer said the victim refused to cooperate with troopers’ investigation.
No arrests have been made.
Sadly, this isn’t the first time a person has been scammed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by people pretending to be a WWE superstar. In November 2024, a 79-year-old man was scammed by someone impersonating Alexa Bliss.
Wrestlers are often impersonated on social media platforms to try and scam people. Please know, if you think you’re talking to a WWE superstar or AEW talent on social media, and they ask you for money, you likely are not talking to a WWE superstar or AEW talent.
