Many In WWE Expected Brock Lesnar To Retire At SummerSlam
An exclusive update regarding Lesnar.
Kicking off the in-ring action for night two of WWE WrestleMania 42 was a singles match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi.
In under six minutes, Femi put Lesnar away after delivering a powerbomb to the 10-time WWE World Champion.
After Lesnar’s loss, he sat on the mat, took his gloves and boots off, and then left them in the ring. An emotional Lesnar then embraced Paul Heyman, and both were emotional as they exited the ring and camera’s view.
Fightful Select pushed out an exclusive that many in WWE expected Lesnar to retire at the 2026 SummerSlam Premium Live Event.

The 2026 installment of SummerSlam will be a two-night event on August 1st and 2nd from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
On night one of WrestleMania 42, GUNTHER scored a win over Seth Rollins after interference from The Vision’s Bron Breakker. In a backstage segment going into WrestleMania, GUNTHER told Heyman that he owes him a big favor for handling Rollins.
