Marc Summers: Hulk Hogan Told Me ‘I Hate Being Recognized’ As We Drove In A Yellow Rolls-Royce
Hulk Hogan was no stranger to making media and charity appearances during the 1980s and 1990s as he career skyrocketed with the boom of wrestling.
Speaking on his Unwraps podcast, popular TV host Marc Summers reflected on doing an appearance with Hogan, and what Hogan would tell him.
“I did a personal appearance with him and we would go to the airport together. His deal was that anytime he did a personal appearance, he had to have a yellow Rolls-Royce. We were somewhere in Michigan and somebody found one in Chicago and had to drive it up. He says to me, as we’re driving to the airport in a yellow Rolls-Royce, ‘I hate being recognized.’ He has the bandana on and he’s wearing the tights. You don’t like being recognized?” wondered Summers.
Hogan was known for wearing the yellow and red during his wrestling career, until he turned heel in 1996 and wore black and white as a member of the NWO.
Hogan passed away on July 24th. Fans can find more coverage on Hogan and his passing here.
