Maria Kanellis-Bennett Announces ROH Women’s Championship Tournament For Summer 2021

Ring of Honor will have a new title sooner rather than later.

Maria Kanellis-Bennett came out during ROH's 19th Anniversary and announced that a tournament to crown an inaugural Women's Champion will take place during the Summer of 2021. According to Maria, it will be open to competitors from all over. The promotion had planned to do something similar last year before the pandemic hit. This new belt will replace the Women Of Honor title, which was established in late 2017 and retired in January 2020.

As Maria began to give details, she was interrupted by Allure members Angelina Love and Mandy Leon. Love, incensed that she has to compete in the tournament and that Kanellis-Bennett is now on the Board of Directors, asked "what position got you this position?"

A match was then announced. Maria told love that she will get a first-round bye if she can win a match versus Quinn McKay on ROH TV. The Allure recently attacked McKay on the set of Week-By-Week.
