Mariah May: Toni Storm Is Like A Mother To Me Or A Lover To Me, I Don't Know Sometimes

Mariah May has a complex relationship with Toni Storm.

Since she arrived in AEW, Mariah May has grown increasingly close with AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm. She has even been dressing up like Storm for her matches. May has helped Storm win several bouts, and she often suffers the champion's rivals' wrath.

In an interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Mariah May was asked whether Toni Storm was using her.

“No, she is my mentor, she’s like a mother to me, or a lover to me, I don’t know sometimes. But she’s my idol, so to get to work with her and dress up as her and basically be her is like my dream," May said.

Mariah was asked about being herself, and she noted that she was sure that she would come back one day. However, she is currently focused on Storm.

"I mean, I’m sure she’ll come back one day. But right now, I’m all about Toni," May said.

Apter noted that May likely wanted to break out on her own, but she dismissed the idea and reiterated that she wanted to be with Storm.

“[Shakes her head] I want to stay with Toni forever. Toni, if you’re watching this, I love you," May said.

Apter also asked May to describe what was so remarkable about Storm that drew Mariah to her. May responded by highlighting her accomplishments.

“What do you mean what’s remarkable about Toni Storm? She was the first ever World of Stardom Champion as a foreigner, she did everything in STARDOM. She’s a multi-time champion in AEW, and have you seen her legs? I would follow her anywhere," May said.
