Marigold Ring Announcer Oki Okita Makes Surprise Appearance, Continuing Chemotherapy For Colon Cancer

A surprise appearance by Oki Okita.

Over the summer, Dream Star Fighting Marigold ring announcer Oki Okita was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.

Several months later, Okita showed up at Marigold’s September 8th show to be a substitute ring announcer.

Okita had been hospitalized, underwent colostomy surgery, and chemotherapy. He was discharged on September 7th. Upon his return, he was met with a big crowd reaction. He went on to express his gratitude to the staff, promotion, and fans.

Okita is still battling the cancer and plans to continue chemotherapy. He has lost around 44 pounds since the diagnosis.
