An update was provided on her via Marigold's official X account, and it was revealed that after being examined by a doctor, Showzuki suffered a partial avulsion fracture of the labrum and a dislocated right shoulder joint.

As a result, she is set to undergo Bankart repair surgery, which is a procedure to treat shoulder instability caused by a torn labrum.

The promotion added that her return timetable is the backend of 2025 or early 2026. Showzuki was the first Marigold Superfly Champion and held the belt for 174 days.
