Last year, Shafir and Bayne began teaming in the wake of an injury to Bayne’s then tag team partner Penelope Ford, with the two becoming known as the Mega Problems. Now Shafir has shared how that tag team came together and how she feels about Bayne’s ability in the wrestling ring.
While speaking on The Close Up with Renee Paquette, Marina Shafir spoke about teaming with Bayne, noting that she is a ‘beautiful big bitch’.
“Yeah, I met her when she first came to AEW, really quiet, but she was this beautiful big bitch and so athletic, and she just wants to get better. She’s a hard worker. She’s just always trying to get better. She works her fucking ass off, and I very much respect and appreciate that. So when the opportunity came, I was like, sign me up to the side quest. Let me be her little playmate with this. Like I very much enjoy working with her. It was a gift, you know, and she’s her own entity in her own little world. I love it.”
