Those Sandy Fork boys don't play around.
Mark and Jay Briscoe have been tag team partners for life and that is exampled by taking a look at their resume' which reads that they have won the CZW World Tag Team Titles twice. They've captured the IWGP Tag Team Championships, the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles and are nine-time holders and current ROH World Tag Team Champions. The Briscoes will be putting their ROH Tag Team Titles on the line at 'Death Before Dishonor XVI' next weekend against 'The Addiction' (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian) and ahead of their title defense, the Sandy Fork, Delaware natives spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated about bringing the grit to tag team wrestling.
“We have a natural chemistry that has only gotten stronger over our careers,” said Jay. “We feel we bring a level of aggression and cohesiveness that’s unmatched. When the titles are on the line, who the hell is going to beat us?”
Mark went on to speak about he and his brother's style of wrestling and how they can take to the skies if necessary but for the most part they'd rather throw fists.
“Doing fancy moves is cool,” said Mark Briscoe, "But beating the s**tout of people with my brother is cooler.”
The Briscoes have held the ROH World Tag Team Titles throughout their combined nine reigns for a total of 1000 days and as mentioned, they will defend their titles against 'The Addiction' on September 28th at 'Death Before Dishonor XVI' and to take a look at the updated lineup for that PPV, click here.
