Mark Crozer Explains How Bray Wyatt Chose ‘Broken Out In Love’ For His Theme

Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family used the theme “Broken Out In Love” from 2012 to 2017. It was renamed to “Live in Fear” by WWE.

Speaking on Ropes N Riffs, singer Mark Crozer detailed how Wyatt came across the theme.

“I’m British. People are sometimes surprised because they think the song has quite a of swampy, Southern rock kind of feel. I wrote that when I was still living in the UK, probably a few years before it ended up being picked up for Bray Wyatt’s theme. It was just like one song out of many that I wrote. At the time, it was really quite different from all my other stuff, and I wasn’t sure what to do with it. So I had just discovered this new music library based in New York that was looking for music. It was just one of the songs that I submitted to them, and they said, “Yeah, we’ll take that.” So it was in that music library for quite a while, just kind of doing nothing. From my understanding, Bray Wyatt was looking for a piece of music and he was very active in picking it himself. He came across this tune in the library and was like, ‘That’s the one I want to use.’ The rest is history,” said Crozer.

Crozer and his band performed the song live at WrestleMania 30.
