Mark Cuban Says He Was Sore For Two Weeks After Sheamus Table Bump On WWE Raw

Mark Cuban had a blast in WWE.

Cuban first appeared for the company at Survivor Series in November 2003. He ended up taking an RKO from Randy Orton.

In a new interview with Build Or Break, Cuban spoke about the appearance and revealed his two rules.

“Oh, I did it twice, I loved it. They reached out to me in 2003 after I just bought the Mavs. They said, ‘We have WWE coming to Dallas, would you like to participate because we’ll get celebrities come in to do cameos.’ ‘I’m happy to do it, but I have two rules. One, I get hit. Two, I get to hit somebody.’ So, I got RKO’ed by Randy Orton. We had to practice it and do this stuff, it was still hard. It still hurt.”

After speaking about his 2009 appearance, Mark Cuban said that wrestlers deserve so much respect.

“Then, I did it again in 2009. I did this whole thing with John Cena. There’s this guy, a wrestler named Sheamus. They were like, ‘Okay, Sheamus has never hit the canvas. We know your rules. You get to put him down so he hits the camera. But, on the flip side, he’s going to put you through a table. It was a real table. They told me, ‘He’s gonna put you right in the center of the table, it’ll just crack in half. Keep your head down because if your head is up when you hit, you’ll break your neck.’ I’m like, ‘My head will be down.’ He puts me through and we broke the table. I did my whole pretend I’m dead thing and I was sore for two weeks. My back hurt so bad. Those guys deserve so much respect. It may be orchestrated, but it’s still athletic and it’s still painful.”

Back in 2025, Sheamus said that he didn’t know who Mark Cuban was before his Raw segment in 2009. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
