Mark Henry Booked For Non-WWE Event

Mark Henry, who has spent his pro wrestling career entirely in the WWE system, is set to take one of his first bookings outside the promotion.

He is set to be a part of the Northeast Wrestling Wrestlefest XXII event in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 2nd. He won't be wrestling, but will sign autographs and participate in a meet and greet before the show starts:

Roxanne Perez Retains, Lexis King Beats Baron Corbin, D'Angelo Pins Dempsey | NXT Fight Size

Also announced for the show are Rey Mysterio and Tenille Dashwood, formerly known as Emma, who will take on Deonna Purazzo in one of her first matches following her WWE release last year.

Mark Henry hasn't been a regular on WWE television in recent years. Joining the promotion in 1996 after participating in the Olympics back in 1992 , he's spent over 20 years in the WWE in various roles. He hasn't competed in a WWE ring since WrestleMania 33, where he participated in the Andre the Giant battle royal, though he didn't win.
