Maryse Says Miz Played Fantasy Football On Their Honeymoon

Ah, the honeymoon. For married couples, it is a time to celebrate, be romantic and, in the case of The Miz and Maryse, play fantasy football.

The former WWE wrestler and current manager of her husband, Maryse related an anecdote about Miz and his football-crazy ways from their honeymoon during an interview with the couple on ESPN.com

CM Punk Addresses Crowd After 4/26 WWE SmackDown Goes Off The Air, Provides Injury Update

There’s an episode of Total Divas where we go onto my honeymoon and basically, you know, I was very excited because we got married in 2014 and I’ve never had a chance to go on my honeymoon," Maryse said. "We finally got four days off, which we never get; between Smackdown and Total Divas, we get no days off. We get four days off and we go to the Bahamas and on the first night, I’m thinking, ‘Woah, first night on the honeymoon, right guys? It’s gonna be fun.’ My husband is in the kitchen looking for WiFi, why? Because he’s looking for a WiFi signal because he needs to do his Fantasy Football draft.

Maryse and The Miz were a couple for several years before getting married on Feb. 20, 2014.

We just love to joke around," Maryse said. "It’s been a lot of fun, it sounds cliché when you say you work with your husband all the time, we’re on Smackdown Live, we’re filming Total Divas, and now we’re going overseas for the tour with the WWE, so it’s a lot of stuff, but somehow it’s really fun. Somehow being together 24/7, we’re like best friends.

Originally released from WWE in October of 2011, Maryse made her return the night after WrestleMania as the new manager of her husband. The Miz just regained the Intercontinental Title on the most recent episode of Smackdown, benefiting from some interference by Maryse to defeat Dolph Ziggler and become IC champion for the sixth time.

Maryse is also joining the cast of Total Divas, which aired its latest season premiere Wednesday.
