Match Stopped Due To Injury During The U.K. Championship Tournament Tapings

Some unfortunate news coming out of an eventful day.

It was just announced that there will be a United Kingdom show that will begin its tapings next month with WWE U.K. Tag Team Championships and a WWE U.K. Women's Championship that will be introduced to the brand. Unfortunately during a women's match tonight an injury occurred that immediately caused for the match to be called off.

The match was Fatal 4-Way between Toni Storm, PROGRESS Women's Champion Jinny, Isla Dawn, and Killer Kelly. The winner of this bout would have earned themselves an opportunity at Shayna Baszler's NXT Women's Championship tomorrow at day-two of the tapings. Unfortunately during the match, according to those in attendance Jinny took a bad bump and landed awkwardly and she was immediately tended to by officials and the match was soon called off.

Triple H then came out and announced that the three remaining competitors of the match will compete in a Triple-Threat to determine a #1 contender for tomorrow's championship bout.
