Matt Cardona sends a heated message to Craig Carton.
The feud seemingly began when Carton, the host of "The Carton Show" on FS1 and "Carton and Roberts" on WFAN 101.9 FM, invited Cardona to be on his live show. Cardona responded by calling Carton a moron and saying he spent more on drinks at the Star Wars hotel than Carton made last week. Cardona then tweeted that Carton stole money and gambled it away. He then shared a picture of text messages that showed Carton's WFAN producer inviting Cardona to call into the show, and "The Indy God" noted that he wouldn't do a cold call; instead, he had to be flown in. Carton responded by calling Cardona a clown and saying no one flies anyone in for shows. Cardona again took a shot at Carton for stealing money. He later posted side-by-side pictures of Carton and himself and wondered who would win in a fight.
The exchange continued with Carton calling Cardona a one-trick pony and mocking Cardona for his love for action figures. Cardona offered to send Carton a Hasbro figure of Nailz and noted that he had a lot in common with the former WWF star. Carton insulted Cardona and claimed that he was "unemployable" by WWE. Cardona replied by offering to settle the score in studio.
Speaking on The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, Cardona addressed the situation with Carton and again made it clear that he was willing to go to the studio and talk to him.
"Listen, I don’t know if he ever went to jail, I don’t want to presume anything. There’s something of him being held by police, so I put that picture up next to my Deathmatch King picture. I said, ‘Who would win in a fight? Craig Carton live or the Deathmatch King?’ He didn’t like that. Then he throws out something about action figures. He doesn’t call them action figures, he calls them [figurines], whatever. Then I said, ‘What’s your address, Craig? DM it to me. Don’t worry, I’m not coming to kick your ass. I’m gonna send you a wrestling figure. You have a lot in common with this guy,’ and it was a Hasbro Nailz. So then he writes something else again. He writes, ‘Charity work done for the day. I’ll go back to hosting the most-listened to afternoon show. This guy collects figures. Unemployed, WWE, AEW, blah, blah. So I wrote, ‘Come on, Craig, you fucking pussy. I mean all this. Let’s settle this in studio. No physicality, this isn’t a threat. I’ll fly myself in because you’re too cheap, a.k.a. you gambled away all that stolen money. I said what do you say? Indie God versus Craig the cuck. Let’s do it.’ I stand by that. I will do something in studio, I’ll bring SDL. I’m not calling up. What is this, fucking 1996? I’m not doing that shit," Cardona said.
Cardona continued by noting that he'd be in New York on May 19 for a House of Glory event, so he could come to the studio and settle the score with Carton in person. He emphasized that he wouldn't call in for the show, but he wanted to look Carton in the eyes and talk to him like a man. Cardona stated that Carton wouldn't do anything in person, though he acted tough online.
"I will come to New York. I will be in New York, House of Glory [on] Friday. I will come to the studio. I don’t know if they really do it in studio, if they’re COVID-style doing it. I’ll come to the studio, I will go, and I will have a conversation. I’m not saying, ‘I’m gonna come to kick your [ass].’ I’m not threatening this man. I’m not doing that. But I will have a debate with him on-air because if anything, I’m gonna get something out of it. Not just you for your fucking radio show. What do I get out [of it] if I call up? I can’t look at you eye-to-eye. You have the fucking high ground like fucking Obi-Wan and Anakin. No fucking way. Let’s do it, even playing field, and I’ll fucking talk to him like a man, and I’ll look at him, get in his eye and call him a fucking pussy, and he won’t do anything. Over the phone, he’ll be a tough guy. On the Internet, he’ll be a tough guy. But if I’m standing there, and I’m not even gonna wear gym clothes. I’ll wear a fucking suit, and I’ll hide all the muscles, and I’ll scare the shit out of that motherfucker," he said.
The former GCW World Champion called Carton the scum of the earth and repeated that he spent more on alcohol at the Star Wars hotel than Carton made in a week. He emphasized that he's more successful by Carton in practically every measure. Cardona also took a shot at Carton's wife before he stated that his message was fueled by real feelings.
"People like that man are the scum of the fucking earth. I spent more on alcohol at the Star Wars hotel than he made last week, and that’s a fucking fact. You see how much money I spent at the Star Wars hotel? I guarantee you this. No matter how you define success, I am more successful than this man. I have more accolades than this man. I guarantee I have more money than this man, and I’m fucking a WWF Diva. He’s probably jerking off in his fucking sink, or his wife’s ugly, or both. I’m sure she’s not attractive. There’s no way she’s attractive, unless he paid for her with that stolen money. This is not a promo. This is a shoot," he said.
Cardona then made it clear that Carton messed with the wrong person. He stated that he didn't answer to anyone, whereas Carton had to deal with corporate and other people. Cardona again noted that he'd be in New York, and while he wouldn't touch Carton, he would get in his face. He then took a few more shots at Carton.
"You fucked with the wrong person. I am fuck-with-able. Who’s gonna fire me? No one’s gonna fire me. I’m not gonna fire myself. I can say whatever the fuck I want. He has corporate, he has all these people to answer to. I have nobody to answer to. Don’t fuck with me. I’ll be there Friday. He’s a fucking pussy. I’m not gonna threaten him. I’m not saying I’m gonna beat his ass. No physicality. I promise, I won’t touch him. But I will get in his face, I’ll look at him eye-to-eye like a man. I’ll probably have to fucking slouch down. I’m assuming he has a little wiener. I’m sure he’s fat or chubby. There’s no way he’s in shape. He definitely has a button-on-a-fur-coat penis. I will scare the shit out of him, and I’ll talk to him like a man. I’m not gonna call in like a little fucking fanboy. Fuck that. I’ll look at him eye-to-eye. They can pat me down, they can have security in the way. I won’t fucking touch him. But have me and SDL there, and let’s see how fucking tough he is," Cardona said.
After the episode was posted, Cardona continued to tweet about Carton by calling him "absolute scum" and saying he didn't back up his words.
