During a feud between John Cena and Kane in the early 2010s, Kane would target those close with Cena, including Matt Cardona, then wrestling under his Zack Ryder ring name. One of the more memorable spots of that feud included Kane sending Cardona crashing off the stage while in a wheelchair. For Matt, he’s not looking to redo that spot anytime soon.
While speaking to The Sportster in a new interview, Matt Cardona was asked if there was a finisher he’d rather not take again in his career. While he couldn’t think of a finisher, Cardona would name being sent off a stage in a wheelchair as a spot he’d rather not do again in his career.
“Oh, my God. I don’t know. I’ve taken a lot of finishing moves in my day. I think the one thing I’d never want to take again… is get pushed off the stage in a wheelchair. Let’s never do that again, okay? All right? Let’s not.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Cardona spoke about Nick Khan getting the ball rolling on his return to WWE. You can read more about that here.
