Matt Cardona jokingly asks Chelsea Green to put in a good word for him.
At GCW Cage of Survival 2, The Kirks (Brandon Kirk & Kasey Kirk) battled Matt Cardona and Steph De Lander. By the end of the brutal match, Cardona was practically covered in blood, as Maki Itoh came to the ring and hit him with some light tubes.
After the match, Cardona retweeted a fan's picture in which he was shown bleeding profusely, and the Internet Champion asked Chelsea Green to help him and text WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H for him. Cardona wrote that he hates the indies and GCW.

Cardona's wife, Chelsea Green, returned to WWE at WWE Royal Rumble 2023, and she has been with the company ever since. Fans have often speculated about Cardona's own return to the company, but he continues to compete on the independent scene.
