Matt Cardona No Longer Appearing At Superpower Slam Benefit Show Due To ‘Unforeseen But Very Exciting Circumstances’

Cardona pulled from a benefit show.

On the first episode of Friday Night SmackDown in 2026, Matt Cardona made his return to WWE and scored a win over Kit Wilson. The last time he was in action for the company was in November as a part of John Cena’s ‘The Last Time is Now’ tournament, and he competed under his former WWE alias, Zack Ryder.

Cardona returned in 2026 under his current name. He confirmed that he’s officially back under contract with WWE.

He was scheduled for Orange Crush’s ‘Superpower Slam’ show in February, but Orange Crush tweeted that he’s been pulled due to unforeseen but exciting circumstances.

That said, Cardona has promised to “pad the lope” for whoever replaces him at Melrose with the bounty provided to him to take out JCW World Champion Billie Starkz.

He said he also “might even donate a little to charity” if they are successful.
