WWE and TNA solidified its partnership with an official announcement in 2025 with talent going back and forth between the two promotions.
The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) have been part of the partnership, appearing on NXT television.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, the Hardys were asked why they think the partnership was happening.
"I would guess part of it is AEW and its existence," said Matt.
Helwani theorized that WWE is propping up TNA to boost them and potentially block AEW.
"I think that's obviously a feasible option," Matt concurred.
Asked if he thinks it's working, Matt replied, "It's helping us. No doubt. TNA is a company that has been around for over two decades and I think it's an important staple in pro wrestling. They do a style that is more similar to the WWE style. It's a good call and a win-win for everybody."
Trick Williams, an NXT superstar, is the reigning TNA World Champion.
The Hardys are set to challenge for the TNA Tag Team Titles at TNA Slammiversary. Fans can check out the lineup for the show by clicking here.
