Matt Hardy Praises Brodido, Credits Tony Khan For Giving Them Titles While They Were Hot

Matt Hardy is a big fan of Brodido.
After teaming for just a few weeks, the duo of Brody King and Bandido made it out of London with gold, winning the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
The makeshift team has been praised by virtually everybody and on the latest episode of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy himself joined in on the praise.
“They kinda came out of nowhere which is amazing. I was hearing a little backstory from the scrum they did afterwards, I guess they’ve been pals for a while. They’ve worked together a lot and they’ve been friends for a bit. I think they’re both individually talented and I love that they’re gelling and it seems like people are behind them. It’s cool that they’ve created a tag team that has some nice momentum in AEW.”
Jon Alba brought up a good point about Brodido, crediting Tony Khan for going with the “hot hand” for the title switch. Hardy agreed with this point.
“No doubt. As time ticks on, that’s going to be more important for TK to listen to the crowd and cater to the crowd and do what the crowd asks him to do, especially the crowd in the live arena, not the crowd on X.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Hardy discussed Wardlow’s return to AEW. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
