It is currently unknown who Sting will face in last match. Fans online have speculated that the star could compete in his first ever AEW singles match, but many other fans think he'll tag with Darby Allin one last time.

On the latest episode of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy said that he could see Sting and Darby facing one another in a singles bout before saying that his gut tells him that they'll compete in tag team action instead.

“I don’t know. I could possibly see Sting and Darby in a singles match at Revolution. I almost feel like it would be Sting and Darby together. I could almost see Sting and Darby winning the tag titles and maybe losing them in that final match. I don’t know, there’s a couple of ways it could go. I think that’s something Sting would be up for doing. I don't know. I think his match at Revolution is going to be a tag match. My gut tells me it won’t be a singles match.”

Host Jon Alba went on to say that he feels like Allin would have to be the opponent for Sting if he indeed competed in a singles bout. Hardy agreed with this claim, saying that it would be the most sensible opponent in a singles capacity.

“I think so. I feel like that is the most sensible match to end things since he’s been his mentor since day one.”

Fightful will update fans when more information is known about Sting's opponent for the Revolution pay-per-view.
