TNA Wrestling has touted live event success throughout 2025 as the promotion has sold out its major live events during the year.
TNA has been in a strong position before, notably when TNA iMPACT! aired on Spike TV, but fans and talent have noted that the vibes around the promotion have felt different.
"Totally different," Matt Hardy told Ariel Helwani on The Ariel Helwani Show when asked about the different TNA regimes. "They have been through a few different transformations, obviously. At that time, they got some steam, but I think they didn't play the cards like they should've played the cards. Right now, we have a great roster that is working good. Everyone is very selfless and everyone wants TNA to grow, and it has been. We have a new boss who just came in, Carlos Silva, and he's been doing a great job. Super passionate, super motivated. Not a wrestling guy, per se, but he's learning on the fly and he's supermotivated to make TNA as big as it can possibly be. We're both happy. I think what started this resurgence in TNA was Dolph Ziggler (aka) Nic Nemeth, coming and becoming the champion. I think that was a good boost for them."
Asked why Nemeth signing was the turning point, Hardy said, "Dolph Ziggler had been on TV for 20 years in WWE. Established star. A lot of people were surprised; they probably thought he'd be a lifer at WWE. Then he came in and he's a very talented guy. Star power, name power, people start taking TNA a little more seriously. Then you have Joe Hendry, who became viral. Joe Hendry rules. He became a viral sensation, so that helped with everything and then I showed up out of the blue. Then Jeff (Hardy) ended up following me. Us being back has helped. To top things off, the NXT-TNA partnership has been super beneficial. The thing with Trick (Williams) being the champion is a unique story and I dig they are doing that."
Nemeth signed with the promotion in January 2024.
Elsewhere during the interview, Matt commented on wanting one last WWE run. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
