Matt Hardy Recalls A Fan Mailing Him Vials Of Their Blood And Asking Him To Inject It Into His Body

Matt Hardy details his craziest fan experience.

During the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy (via AdFreeShows), the AEW star recalled his time as a member of The New Brood in WWE and how it led to a fan sending him vials of their own blood and asking for him to inject it into his body.

EC3: WWE Takes Concussions Very Seriously, Except That One Time They Called Me Up With A Concussion

“I had met someone whenever we were doing The New Brood and Jeff and I were very brooding, very vampire-ish. We had our hair down in our face. I remember we did a signing and at the signing, we had this very brooding, very dark, very goth group of girls come up and one of the girls, she put up her hand and wanted me to touch her hand. She said, “Oh my God, we’re going to be connected forever. I will make certain of it.” We had a PO Box at the time and we got tons of fan mail. So there was a package sent and there was a picture of us where we were touching our hands and she had sent this back, and she sent vials of her blood and asked me to take her blood and inject it into mine so we would always be linked and could feel each other and know where each other was. So that was probably the craziest fan experience. I remember I saw her again later down the road and she said, “Oh my God, do you have my blood in you?” I said, “I don’t. You’re a different type and they said it wouldn’t mesh too well.” She said, “Oh my God, we’ll never be connected now!” She was very upset by it," Hardy said.

Matt and his brother Jeff briefly aligned with Gangrel in August 1999 but parted ways after their Ladder Match against Edge and Christian at No Mercy in October 1999.

Last week, Hardy reflected on the life and career of Owen Hart and shared a story of Owen ribbing him prior to one of their first matches together. Click here to read more.
