Matt Hardy speaks highly of Sami Zayn's performance on WWE Raw XXX.

The January 23 episode of WWE Raw marked the 30th anniversary of the show, and WWE loaded up the card. Several legends appeared throughout the show, which kicked off with the trial of Sami Zayn. Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the veteran, who worked for WWE for many years, was asked whether he got the chance to watch the anniversary show. Hardy noted that he saw some of it, and he praised the portion of the show that he watched. He particularly highlighted Zayn's performance and stated it was the icing on top of what has been a star-making run.

"I did, I got to watch about a third of the show. I watched the trial of Sami Zayn, and I watched the tag match, and I watched the Bray Wyatt/Undertaker segment. I thought it was all excellent. I thought it was really good. The trial of Sami Zayn was so well done, and it really was. That was a star-making performance that night for Sami Zayn. He’s already a star, he’s already over as it is, but it was the icing on top," Hardy said.

When asked to name the favorite Raw memory of his career, Hardy brought up the first time he and his brother Jeff won the tag team titles in WWE, which came on July 5, 1999. He noted that winning the gold was their only goal when they got into wrestling, and making that dream come true was a special moment.

“One thing that’s gonna stand out first and foremost because that was our dream, from day one, is when we first won the WWE World Tag Team Titles. I mean that was our only goal, really, in wrestling. If we accomplished that goal, then we had done everything we wanted to do. Obviously we did it multiple times, but winning that night in basically our hometown and actually seeing a dream materialize right in front of us and becoming the tag team champions, that’s probably my favorite Raw moment of all time," Hardy said.
