On May 13, TNA Wrestling announced that TNA World Champion Joe Hendry, TNA X-Division Champion Moose, and TNA Tag Team Champions The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth) would be competing at AAA Triplemania Regia on June 15th.
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy revealed the Hardys were asked to compete at the event, but they had already taken a booking.
"I know we were asked about that, and in full transparency, we're booked already those weeks. We were asked about doing them, but we weren't able to, obviously. Maybe some time down the road we will. We were asked about it," said Matt
Asked if he would be open to competing at AAA, Matt replied, "I'm not opposed to it. I did the one Triplemania, which was supposed to be myself and Jeff in the main event, and that's right after Jeff got in trouble at AEW. I ended up teaming with John Morrison. I would love for Matt and Jeff Hardy to pick up the AAA Tag Team Titles."
Matt competed at AAA TripleMania XXX: Tijuana in 2022 teaming with Morrison in a loss to Hermanos Lee (Dragon Lee & Dralistico). He was scheduled to team with Jeff, but Jeff had been arrested on June 14, 2022 and charged with driving with a suspended license, violating restrictions placed on his license, and a DUI.
Matt will team with Leon Slater at TNA Under Siege against The Nemeths.
