Matt Hardy Says Jeff Hardy Might Take Some Time Off To Deal With Neck Injury

Matt Hardy provides an update on Jeff Hardy.
Jeff has been battling a neck injury since October 2025, when The Hardys wrestled DarkState at NXT Halloween Havoc. On the latest episode of his podcast, Matt Hardy told Jon Alba that Jeff could be taking some time off to work on his neck soon.
“It’s gonna be interesting to see what my next character is, especially if Jeff takes a little time off to try and work on his neck a little bit. That may be happening, I guess we’ll see.”
Alba joked about Jeff Hardy and his tendency to be a “stunt monkey”. Matt followed that up by saying that Jeff wants to fix/correct the injury as much as possible.
“Well yeah, you know, it’s not necessarily that. Just that nagging, it’s been a year now since he had this bulging disc, which has been bugging him. He’s going to — I think he’s done everything he can do in his power, I think he’s maybe gonna take some time off to get it fixed up and correct it as much as possible.”
