Matt Hardy On Vince McMahon Not Being Involved In Creative: It's A Win For WWE

Matt Hardy comments on Vince McMahon losing creative power in WWE.

Since the WWE-UFC merger under the Endeavor umbrella, Vince McMahon has reportedly lost creative power as Endeavor boss Ari Emanuel has been happy with the job Triple H has been doing. Vince had been making changes remotely since returning to the Board of Directors in January.

Speaking on his Xtreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt weighed in on Vince no longer having the creative power he once had.

"At the end of the day, I think it's a positive and a win for WWE. Vince, you can't deny his contributions to sports entertainment, professional wrestling, and WWE. He is the greatest promoter of all time, that's going to go on his tombstone as of right now. Times change. It was time to move on and have someone younger, more forward-thinking, someone who has their finger a little more on the pulse of pop culture and wrestling fans. Paul Levesque [Triple H] was the guy to go with. I think it's a positive thing for WWE," he said.

Hardy is currently signed to AEW. He departed WWE in 2020.
