Matt Hardy continues to tease a match with the New Day.
In recent weeks, The Hardys and the New Day have exchanged words on social media, leading fans to believe that a future match between the teams could be in the works.
On the latest edition of his The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy talked about the exchanges and threatened to take the World Tag Team Championships from the duo of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
“I mean, the New Day can get it too man, the New Day can get it too. I tweeted him, we may have text after that, but I did tweet him and actually said that time is a flat circle. We showed up in WWE and the New Day was there and don’t get it twisted, we could definitely show up in WWE again with New Day there. We might even pull those tag titles off you, especially because we’re kind of in need of a tag title right now because The Hardys need a tag title at all times because we’re proven we’re the goats.”
Hardy went on to say that a program with the New Day would be exciting to him.
“Yeah, I would love to. I mean, we’ve never done anything with the New Day in that capacity. To actually come in and work with New Day, do a program with New Day, I think that is something that is definitely feasible in the future. That’s something that would be exciting to me.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Hardy praised the recent tag team TLC match on SmackDown. Check out his full comments on the match here.
