Matt Riddle: I Think The Chances Of Me Going Back To WWE Are Extremely High

Matt Riddle was released by WWE in September 2023.

Riddle had been off WWE television after he accused an officer at JFK airport of sexual harassment in an Instagram post that he deleted on September 10.

According to reports, Port Authority officers got a call for a disorderly person who was deplaning, and they met him in the terminal. Riddle was reportedly the disorderly person in question. An internal investigation was launched at that time.

Since his WWE release, Riddle has competed for MLW, NJPW, and various independent promotions.

Speaking to Steven Muelhausen of SI Takedown, Riddle was asked if a return to WWE was possible.

"The chances of me going back, I think they're extremely high," Riddle said. "If CM Punk, who filed a lawsuit against WWE, and then raked them through the mud for a decade, then goes to the competition, I'll tell you this, if he can do that, everything can be forgiven. I know I wasn't the easiest to work with at times. I think the door is always open.

"I think the longer I'm away, the harder I work, and the more I do, the more likely I could come back. But I'll also say this, if I never go back ever again, and they never talk to me again, I'll be ok with that."

Riddle is set to face Tom Lawlor in a No-holds-barred Vale Tudo Match at MLW Fightland tapings on September 14.
