Matt Riddle Says He'll "Beat The Sh*t" Out Of Chris Jericho; Responds To Other Former WCW Stars

Matt Riddle vs. WCW.

Matt Riddle has made his fair share of enemies in the past couple months, beginning with his online thrashing of Goldberg, who he called "the worst wrestler in the business" following his match against The Undertaker at WWE Super ShowDown. From there, Booker T told Riddle to "work on his craft," and Lance Storm posted cryptic tweets about "being a professional" that many believed were aimed at Riddle.

Now, Chris Jericho has jumped into the mix, offering Riddle some career advice from his first book on how to build a match against a veteran.

Riddle took notice of the tweet and offered up the following response.

Riddle would expand upon his thoughts in a video posted this morning.

"I don't know what's going on with these WCW guys, legitimately. I don't like Goldberg, that's my thing. Everyone knows what I think. He's not at the level. Yes, he's made lots of money, but at the end of the day, when future wrestlers come in or a passionate fan wants to watch something good, I doubt they're going to pull up a Bill Goldberg match. Chris Jericho, you came at me. I don't know why you're saying 'listen and learn, kid.' I'll beat the shit out of you. You're soft as hell. Maybe back in your prime, but even then, I would have beat the shit out of you. Listen and learn from me, bro. Shut your mouth. Lance [Storm], I remember doing a seminar with you and I literally fell asleep during your seminar. I had to be woken up by you. I even apologized at the time. For some reason, you get on your Twitter machine and start talking trash about me. Barefoot or not, I'm still ten times the entertainer you ever were. Keep coaching, keep passing on the tradition, just don't teach them how to be entertaining. Booker T, I honestly like you. I didn't want any heat with you. You said I 'couldn't work.' Pretty sure if you watch a couple of my matches, you'll probably realize you were really wrong about that."

Booker T and Lance Storm might be retired, but Chris Jericho is still going strong in All Elite Wrestling. Meanwhile, Goldberg is reportedly returning to the ring at WWE SummerSlam to face Dolph Ziggler. As for Riddle, he's currently competing on the NXT brand and is set to face Killian Dain on this Wednesday's episode.
