Matt Riddle's Last Independent Wrestling Appearance Will Be At PROGRESS In September

Matt Riddle is saying good bye to independent wrestling.

On Saturday, Matt Riddle confirmed a lot of speculation by showing up on the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 broadcast. But Matt Riddle still has to fill his obligations to PROGRESS Wrestling on September 30th. The promotion is advertising the event as Matt Riddle's last independent wrestling appearance.

The announcement came in the following tweet. 

The event will be taking part at SSE Arena which used to be called Wembley Arena and the promotion is calling the event the "biggest independent UK wrestling show in 30 years." WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne will also be on the card. 

Riddle has worked many matches for the promotion and once held the PROGRESS Atlas Championship on two occasions. 

WWE announced Riddle as the newest member of the NXT roster and his wife shared on Instagram that the family is moving to Orlando soon. 

Fightful Wrestling will be reporting on any other events Riddle will be performing at on his way to NXT.
