Matt Riddle Says There Is A Big Possibility He Fights Again In 2024

Matt Riddle hints at fighting again in 2024.

Before his career in professional wrestling, Matt Riddle made his name in MMA where he competed on The Ultimate Fighter, and went 8-3 (2 No Contests) in MMA. His two no-contests were victories that were overturned due to a failed drug test for cannabis.

Speaking to MMA Junkie, Riddle was asked about potentially fighting again now that he is no longer with WWE.

"Yeah, oh yeah. I'll say this, there has been a lot of talk, I've been talking to a couple of promotions. I don't want to get into it until it's official, but I think 2024 is a very big possibility that I get back into the ring or cage and fight again, pretty soon," he said.

Asked if he might fight again in the UFC, he replied, "I say never say never, if the opportunity is right. I don't really hold a grudge and I talked a lot of shit. If there's business to be had, I'll get business done."

Dana White publicly called Riddle, "a fucking moron" after he was released by UFC following a failed drug test.

Riddle was released by WWE on September 22. He had been off television after he accused an officer at JFK airport of sexual harassment in an Instagram post that he deleted on September 10. According to reports, Port Authority officers got a call for a disorderly person who was deplaning, and they met him in the terminal. Riddle was reportedly the disorderly person in question. An internal investigation was launched at that time.
