Matthew Rehwoldt comments on the potential that of his wife, Shaul Guerrero, joining him in IMPACT Wrestling.
The Guerreros are one of the strongest lineages in wrestling history. While most people think of Eddie Guerrero immediately, Chavo Guerrero, Vickie Guerrero, Hector Guerrero, and Chavo Classic, have all made their presence felt in the wrestling industry in one way or another.
The daughter of Eddie and Vickie, Shaul, has tried several times to make her own impact in the wrestling industry, but perhaps the most impactful thing to come out of her time in the wrestling industry may be her marriage to Matthew Rehwoldt.
The former Aiden English is currently in IMPACT and is the Homecoming King alongside Deonna Purrazzo. Recently, during an appearance on That 90s Wrestling Podcast, Matthew Rehwoldt when asked about the potential that his wife could join him in IMPACT. Matthew, a veteran of the industry, relied on the old adage of “never say never” before detailing what he believed she could offer the wrestling industry.
"It's wrestling, you never say never. I know she's in a fantastic ring announcer she's a creative person too you know? She can be a character of any stripe. Look at her mother, [it] runs in the family. So maybe she could do something like that. But she's also doing some awesome stuff herself. She does fire dancing burlesque, she's got a group called the Vaudettes, which are kicking butt, they're gonna be doing some wrestling related events, too. So. But like I said, possibility is always there, I would love to have a part of that part of that environment."
Most recently, Guerrero was a ring announcer during the women's tag team tournament in AEW over Summer 2020. She began taking some wrestling bookings before canceling them due to struggles with her mental health. Learn more here.
