Maven Reveals ‘Practical Joke’ By Fit Finlay Left Him With A Permanent Scar

Maven recalls a wrestling rib that gave him a permanent scar.

At Survivor Series 2024, there was a segment involving Maven and Gene Snitsky backstage. Snitsky attacked Maven before their Survivor Series main event match later that night. The aftermath of this assault saw Maven’s head bleed.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Maven was asked about this moment. He reveals that Fit Finlay had to cut him so he could get the color necessary, but he played a ‘joke’ on him that left a permanent scar on his head.

“When the camera cut off of the attack, and it went to Snitsky, he was doing that on purpose. The reason was, at the time, I had to get color and Fit Finlay, while Snitsky is yelling in the camera, he is gigging me to make sure I get the color necessary. But in wrestling, you always gig with the grain. Fit, to get to play a joke on me, he went down and I still hold the scar. The wrestling practical joke. Let’s give someone a scar for life. It’s such a stupid business, isn’t it, and I’m all too eager. Yeah, cut me. Cut me.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Maven talked about eliminating The Undertaker during the 2002 Royal Rumble. Fans can check his comments here.
