Maven Sold His WWE Tough Enough Trophy, Declined To Buy It Back
Maven reveals that he declined to buy back the WWE Tough Enough trophy he sold.
From 2001 until 2005, Maven was a WWE Superstar. His gateway to stardom was the WWE Tough Enough reality series. He was the first male champion of the program. To commemorate that, he was given a trophy. After his full-time career ended in 2007, he subsequently sold the trophy. Nowadays, the former Tough Enough winner is better known for his YouTube channel, where he shares reflections on his career and offers insights into the wrestling business.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Maven shared a story about an individual who bought the trophy and offered him a chance to repurchase it for $600. He declined, as he feels he has no reason to own it because there will be no one to pass it down to.
“Two years ago, I was at a dinner, and the guy who has the Tough Enough trophy was there, and he came up to me. He was like, ‘I’m the one that bought your Tough Enough trophy.’ I was like, Oh, that’s cool. He’s like, ‘Yeah, you want to buy it back from me?’ I’m like, Nah, keep it. He wanted 600 bucks for it. I’m like, You keep it. then I’m thinking, I’m like, What am I gonna do with it? I tell Zach that and he’s like what?! What I would do with it? I don’t have kids, so there’s no one to leave it to. If I did that, I would do something where I made a video about hunting it down, getting it and then I would figure out a way to give it to a fan.”
