Maven: The Wrestling Business Needs MJF

Maven appreciates the work that MJF does inside the ring and is a fan of him branching out beyond the squared circle.

Everyone knows that from 2001 until 2005, Maven had his dream job as a WWE Superstar. At the time, MJF was in elementary school. However, being a professional wrestler would one day become his dream job. Now, the roles are reversed. MJF is the top star in AEW, and Maven is a fan of his.

Maven recently interviewed Chris Van Vliet on his YouTube channel. While Chris was discussing the difficulties of interviewing Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Maven got the opportunity to sing his praises and reveal that he once reached out to the former AEW World Champion about appearing on the YouTube channel as well. Max turned down the initial offering, but did say he would appear when the time is right.

“I love him, though I love watching him. I’m so happy to see his success, the new Happy Gilmore that recently came out on Netflix. The wrestling business needs, in my opinion, MJF,” said Maven. “I reached out to him and asked him, you know, sent him through text, ‘Hey, I’d love to have you on the channel.’ I appreciated his answer. His answer was, ‘No, not at this time.’ I respected him saying no. I hope you get him for the second time.”

Chris Van Vliet revealed that Max stated he would return to his YouTube channel once he had regained the AEW World Title. Fans can check out the first interview Chris conducted with MJF here.

MJF recently got married to fellow AEW talent, Alicia Atout. Learn more here.
