Maya World Explains The Origins Of Her ‘It Girl’ Nickname

Maya World has explained the origins of her nickname, ‘The It Girl’, and how it became a part of her pro wrestling presentation.

Since breaking out onto the scene of AEW’s women’s division, Maya has quickly become one of the hottest prospects in the division, accompanied by her nickname ‘The It Girl.’ In addition to breaking out in AEW, Maya has previously been a staple of the independent wrestling scene.

While speaking to WFXR News in a new interview, Maya World explained the origins of the ‘It Girl’ nickname.

“Well, I, you know, I’ve always been someone with a lot of confidence. Honestly, in wrestling, you have to have that confidence. So, I mean, it’s just like I loved sports growing up. I was just a show-off. I loved competing. So, like, I just, you know, The It Girl, and it kind of rhymes. So, like, I just went with it, you know. But I am the it girl. So, it was just easy.”
