Being the first to win the IWGP and GHC Women's Titles is intriguing to Iwatani.
Pro Wrestling NOAH kicked off the newest season of their MONDAY MAGIC show. One of the matches on the bill at the 5/26 event was newly crowned Marigold Super Flyweight Champion Mayu Iwatani teaming with the reigning GHC Women's Champion Kouki Amarei.
The duo picked up a win over Sadie Gibbs and Great Sayuka. After the bout, Iwatani spoke to reporters and was asked about competing on NOAH's main shows.
She stated that she's interested in becoming the first person to hold the IWGP and GHC Women's Championships.
"I don't know if it's presumptuous of me to ask (to be part of NOAH's main shows), but if I receive an offer, I would love to participate. No woman has ever won the IWGP and the GHC, so if I can achieve that first and create a situation where I can compete with confidence...”
Coming up for Iwatani is Marigold's next tour titled 'Burning Desire.' It begins May 30th.
