Memphis Hotel Cleaning Staff Member Finds Rusev's Wallet In A Chicken Box That Was In The Trash

What a story...

Earlier this week former two-time WWE United States Champion Rusev shared on Twitter that he and his wife Lana's belongings had been stolen from their hotel room in Memphis. The SmackDown Live roster was in the "Home Of The Blues" for Tuesday's TV taping. Rusev sarcastically thanked the 'Sheraton Hotel' for stealing Lana's camera and money that was in his wallet.

The current SmackDown Live GM Paige sent out a tweet backing up Rusev and Lana noting that the hotel is untrustworthy and she put the public on notice that there are a number of inconveniences about the hotel and its staff.

A Memphis police department representative stated that they were called to the scene around 3 PM on the date of the incident which was June 11th. Rusev told the police that he and Lana left the room at 12:30 PM and when they returned at 1:10 PM their items were gone. The items listed in the robbery was Rusev's wallet which had $500 in it and a Sony Digital camera that belonged to Lana. To add, Rusev and Lana are residents of Nashville, TN.

FOX13 in Memphis is reporting that police spoke with 'Sheraton Hotel' cleaning staff member Portia Williams, who stated that she entered the room to clean it with a "do not disturb" sign that was hung up on the door. Portia Williams said that she found the wallet in a chicken box that was in the trash. The head of security at the 'Sheraton', Kennen Brooks retrieved the wallet and gave it back to Rusev but the $500 that was originally in the wallet was still missing.
