The first episode of IMPACT! Wrestling in 2022 is beginning to take shape.
Over the past two weeks, IMPACT! has been handing out their year-end awards but will be getting back to their traditional programming next Thursday, January 6. This will be the go-home show to Hard To Kill which is set to take place on Saturday, January 8.
It was back in October at Knockouts Knockdown that Masha Slamovich was offered an IMPACT! contract following her bout with Deonna Purrazzo. After a few weeks of vignettes teasing her arrival, Masha is set to arrive at the IMPACT! Zone next week, further bolstering an already impressive Knockouts division.
Furthermore, Mercedes Martinez has called out Deonna Purrazzo. Mercedes, who recently signed with AEW, was attacked by Deonna following her Knockouts Championship match against Mickie James and is looking to make an example of The Virtuosa, challenging her to a match next week (yet to be made official). She concluded by saying better women have tried to take her down and have failed.
