Mercedes Martinez will be challenging Athena for the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship at the Ring of Honor tapings following the October 28 AEW Collision. This stems from Martinez, alongside Diamante, being on the winning end of a tag team match against Athena & Billie Starkz on the October 26 ROH on HonorClub.
The match will take place in Martinez's backyard of Connecticut.

Athena remains undefeated, but now there is a blemish on her record thanks to Starkz's eating the pinfall in the match on October 26.
Athena let Billie have it in a backstage segment after the match, driving the young wrestler to tears.
