Mercedes Martinez Inducted Into Women’s Wrestling Hall Of Fame
Another accolade for Mercedes Martinez.
For 25 years, Mercedes Martinez has been in the pro wrestling business. Her career has taken her through many independent promotions and companies such as WWE, AEW, Ring of Honor, and TNA/IMPACT.
A new accolade has been added to Martinez’s résumé, and that is being a Hall of Famer. Martinez was inducted into the Women’s Wrestling Hall of Fame.
WOMEN’S WRESTLING HALL OF FAME.
Grateful beyond words.
Thank you @wwhof2022, @realLeilaniKai for your support always, & Penelope Paradise for inducting me.
This isn’t just for me.
It’s for the past, the present, and the future. 🖤#WomensWrestling #WWHOF pic.twitter.com/7JOFnF5TH4— Mercedes Martinez 🏳️🌈🇵🇷 (@RealMMartinez) January 28, 2026
Martinez’s time with AEW/ROH came to an end in January 2026 as her contract expired. She first joined the company in late 2021.
Martinez is a former ROH Women’s World Champion. She was the last person to hold the belt before Athena defeated her and went on to embark on her ongoing 1,100-plus-day reign as champion.
