Mercedes Mone: Bayley Is Always A Dream Match For Me, We Wouldn’t Have This Generation Without Her
Mercedes Mone always has love for Bayley.
Though they haven’t worked in the same company since 2022, Mercedes Mone and Bayley will always be linked together in the ring thanks to their famous battle at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, and outside the ring with their friendship.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Mercedes commented on Bayley’s impact and how she continues to support her.
“Everybody knows that Pam is my best friend in wrestling. There has been many matches that I’ve been to, and she’s been to many of my matches to support me. When you have people like that in your life, they show up for important things in theirs. I love being in disguise and hiding. I’m always going to support her. She’s the best. We wouldn’t have this beautiful generation of women’s wrestling if she wasn’t part of it. When you have people like that in the world, you have to support them,” she said.
Asked if she and Bayley would meet one more time, Mercedes replied, “You never know in wrestling. That’s always a dream match for me, to have another match with her. She is one of my greatest opponents of all-time. Everybody knows one of our greatest matches together, Brooklyn, that’s really changed the way people have viewed women’s wrestling. It’s always a dream match for me. You never know.”
Bayley has been off WWE television since losing to Lyra Valkyria at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Her future with the company is currently unknown amid reports of her contract being up in 2026.
