Mercedes Mone: I'm Looking Forward To Getting Back In The Ring And Doing What I Love

Mercedes Mone is looking forward to getting back in the ring.

Mercedes Mone hasn't wrestled since May 2023 when she suffered an ankle injury against Willow Nightingale at NJPW Resurgence. She has since sign with AEW, but her in-ring debut has yet to be announced.

Speaking to CBS Boston, Mercedes was asked how it will feel to be back in the ring coming off the injury.

"It's just going to make everything so much more special. I thought wrestling was going to be taken away from me ten months ago when this has been my dream since I was ten years old. I am looking so forward to getting back into the ring and do exactly what I love. I can't wait to show everybody who Mercedes Mone is. I was born to be a wrestler, I was born to do this. There is no quit in me. When the doctor told me this was a career ending injury, I was like, 'Absolutely not. This is my life and this is my life passion.' When you have a dream and you have to go after something, you cannot let anybody hold you back or take no for an answer. I am so ready to go and be All Elite because All Elite is the best wrestling company in the whole world and I can't wait to throw it down with the women in AEW, but the women all over the world," she said.

Mercedes made her AEW debut on March 13 at AEW Dynamite Big Business. She has been part of AEW Dynamite programming since her debut, and was on commentary last Wednesday.

It is unknown when she will make her in-ring return.
