Mercedes Mone On AEW Return: After Winnipeg Title Defense, Mama Is Returning Home

Mercedes Mone has effectively announced her AEW return.

Mercedes has been off AEW television since losing the TBS Title to Willow Nightingale at AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash. She appeared in a vignette on the January 10 episode of Collision, saying that when she returned, she would be taking more than just titles.

Mercedes has been wrestling for various independent promotions, losing the titles she has collected over the past couple of years.

On IL61, Mercedes was asked about her potential AEW return.

“I’m returning really, really soon. Right now, I am on my Mone Madness Tour all over Europe. First it started in Mexico, now here in Italy, next stop is Paris, then London, then Poland, then Winnipeg. After that, Mama is gonna return home,” she said.

Mercedes will defend the WPW Women’s Championship at WPW Fight at the Museum in Winnipeg on March 31. AEW will be in Winnipeg for AEW Dynamite on April 1.

Mercedes Mone is down to six physical championship titles: Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, PTW Women’s Championship (Poland), the Bodyslam Women’s Championship (Denmark), WPW Women’s Championship (Canada), APAC Women’s Championship (Malaysia) and the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Championship.
