Mercedes Moné vs. Willow Nightingale For TBS Title, Ricochet vs. Jack Perry For AEW National Title Added To AEW Dynamite: New Year’s Smash

Two championship bouts are added to the mix.

The post-Worlds End of AEW Dynamite on December 31st is the New Year’s Smash edition of the program. It is emanating from Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston, Nebraska.

Two championship matches are locked in for the show. It is official that Mercedes Moné will be defending her TBS Championship against Willow Nightingale. The match was made official following Nightingale pinning Moné in the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Title match at Worlds End. With the victory, Nightingale and Harley Cameron retained over Moné and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena. Later in the show, Moné was interviewed backstage and called Nightingale out for New Year’s Smash.

In addition to that, Ricochet is going to defend the AEW National Championship against Jack Perry. That match being announced came after Perry pinned Ricochet in a tag match on the Worlds End Zero Hour.
