Michael Cole Says Corey Graves’ Neck ‘Screwed Up’ After F5s From Brock Lesnar
Michael Cole gives an update on Corey Graves’ condition after Corey took two F5s from Brock Lesnar on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Corey Graves hasn’t wrestled since 2014 when he retired due to concussion issues. Since then, he has spent the past decade honing his craft as a broadcaster in WWE. Through that time, he had grown close with Michael Cole. When Brock Lesnar threatened to attack Michael on the September 19 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Graves did what he could to try to calm the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. However, it was to no avail. Corey Graves ended up on the receiving end of two F5s.
Michael Cole provided an update on the condition of Corey Graves at the start of the Countdown to WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20. He said that Corey was resting at home. His neck is “screwed up,” but he is trying to keep good spirits. Still, there’s no indication of when he will return at this time.
Brock Lesnar will face John Cena for the final time at WWE Wrestlepalooza. That match will open the show.
