Mick Foley: AEW Has Done A Good Job Making Their Midcard Mean Something

Mick Foley praises the AEW midcard.
Mick Foley officially joined AEW at Double or Nothing, working as an analyst during the Buy In show alongside Renee Paquette. Foley cut ties with WWE over their association with President Donald Trump, and has been complimentary of AEW in the past.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Foley explained a big point that drew him into AEW.
“AEW has done a really good job of making their midcard mean something. That’s one place where I will compare the two companies. They do a much better job in the midcard. There is a bit more pride. WWE would build a tag team for two or three years, have them win the tag team titles multiple times, and then two big stars who never team would face the tag team and destroy them, showing you that the tag team was never important. I don’t think you see those type of things (in AEW). That’s one thing that drew me in,” he said.
Elsewhere during the interview, Foley detailed why he left WWE. You can find his full comments here.
