Mick Foley doesn’t believe he has ever met someone as driven to be the best as Mercedes Mone throughout his time in the wrestling industry.
Mone is once again in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup after being the victor in the tournament last year, earning a world title match with Toni Storm at All In last year, but would come up short. In 2026, she looks to do the repeat in the tournament and go on to All In 2026 to finally become the AEW Women’s World Champion.
While speaking on AEW’s Countdown show for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Mick Foley spoke about Mercedes, noting that he has not met anyone in the industry as
“I can tell you in all my years, I don’t believe I have ever met someone as driven to be the best as Mercedes, and in AEW, there’s one way to prove that you’re the best, and that’s to win the AEW World Championship. And trust me, once you have the World Championship, you want it worse than ever.”
