Mick Foley Shoots Down False News Report On Him Being Furious At WWE

On December 16, Mick Foley effectively cut ties with WWE over its relationship with Donald Trump.
Foley said he no longer wished to represent the company and would not be renewing his legends deal as long as WWE kept a close relationship with President Trump.
A fake news site later “reported” that Foley was furious with WWE as they continued to use footage of his matches on their programming.
Foley called out the report, writing, “STOPPING A LIE.
“An Instagram page called @itswrestlinglover and a Facebook page called “Wrestling Corner” have posted a completely false story about me being furious that @wwe is continuing to use my wrestling footage. That’s simply a lie. It’s WWE’s footage and I’m very proud of it. End of story.”
Foley asked the site to retract the statement and admit its false.
Mick Foley has continued to make convention appearances, just no longer under the WWE banner.
